-It is normal to experience enhanced tooth sensitivity for 1 - 3 days after your whitening. Avoid excessively hot or cold food and beverages and take an OTC pain reliever. If the pain persists longer than this, please call our office.
-In the first 48 hours following your whitening, your teeth will be extra susceptible to staining. Avoid tobacco and heavily pigmented foods such as coffee, tea, red wine, cola, soy sauce, tomato sauces, dark root vegetables, turmeric, and paprika. A good rule of thumb: if it would stain a white t-shirt, avoid it.
-All whitening procedures can wear off over time and teeth can gradually darken. To maintain your white smile as long as possible, minimize consumption of tobacco products and staining foods, and make sure to stay on schedule with your routine cleanings and exams.
-
-No straining, heavy lifting, and vigorous exercise for at least 4 hours.
-Avoid manipulation and further treatments to the area for at least 4 hours.
-Be patient. It can take 2-10 days for the Botox to take full effect. If the desired effect was not achieved, call between days 10-14 after your appointment to schedule a follow-up.
If you experience any other adverse symptoms, please call our office.
